In 2004, the last existing Magikist sign formerly located on the Kennedy Expressway at Montrose Avenue was torn down just two weeks shy of being named on a list of seven most-endangered local landmarks. For generations of folks who drove in from the suburbs, the Magikist lips were the sign to wake up as the excitement of downtown Chicago was drawing near. Let’s re-erect that warm welcome, wear it with respect and in the words of Wesley Willis, “rock out like a Magikist” because Chicago has arrived.

All Oyez Perez products are created by Chicago-native designer Mike Perrone. While he is best known for the assignments completed by his studio, this label was created as a place to distribute custom limited edition apparel and merchandise available nowhere else. We aim to release new items every month – so stay tuned as there's no telling what will be in store next!
Through Oyez Studios, Mike has art directed for everyone from EA to Panasonic to the Chicago Bears. Additionally, he is a founding member of the creative collective Luffers where he shares the stage with Chicago's best and brightest multidisciplinary talents.
