Manute Bol arrived in the U.S. wearing a leisure suit and missing 15 teeth, most of them courtesy of his first attempt at a dunk. (He smashed his mouth on the rim.) All told, he was the only player in NBA history to block more shots than score points, blocking 2,086 shots and scoring 1,599 points. With a 10-foot wingspan, Bol averaged one blocked shot for every 5.6 minutes he played. The downside: He was only able to drive a car if the front seat was removed.
